有工作人員透露事情始末，稱鄧紫棋在競演時出現失誤，使得她持續了一段時間的精神萎靡，直到第四位歌手上臺方纔恢復。鄧紫棋在賽後採訪中說：“第一次副歌結束後，第二段主歌馬上降到低八度唱一句很輕的開始，這時候整個音樂靜了下來，聽到了觀眾們在拍手，雖然是好的東西，但因為觀眾的節拍與音樂不同，所以我在那一刻突然慌了慌神，所以不夠那麼自如。”
