雖然電影在2011年已完結，J. K. Rowling許久未再動筆寫Harry Potter ，前陣子她所主導的舞台劇《Harry Potter and the Cursed Child》也正式發表小說，被視為Harry Potter 的最終完結，J. K. Rowling也對媒體表示，《Harry Potter and the Cursed Child》就是Harry Potter 的故事的終結︰「Harry is done now.」
