第89届奧斯卡金像獎得獎，幾部入圍的影片都各有斬獲，《La La Land》仍是獲獎最多的影片，但並未橫掃。《Moonlight》、《Manchester by the Sea》也有拿下大獎。原先被預測可能會落馬的最佳男主角Casey Affleck，結果未翻盤，如願拿下，與哥哥Ben Affleck成了奧斯卡家族。
而女主角由Emma Stone拿下，這也是她從影的高峰，順利拿下全球各重要影展的影后。此次奧斯上也有不少超級英雄電影入圍技術獎，但都未能獲獎，反而不被看好的《Suicide Squad》拿下最佳化妝及髮型設計獎。
